Community Correspondent

At a time when the world seems overrun with trouble and negativity, the Washington Correspondent has created the Community Correspondent Column to highlight individuals and organizations that are shaping our community in a positive way. This new column allows our readership to write in with their stories of radical kindness, generosity, exceptional customer service, or bravery.

Each week we will be choosing one letter that highlights an exceptional individual or organization, and whoever is selected will also receive a short biography and interview to be featured on the Washington Correspondent news site.

To send the Community Correspondent Column your story, please visit our Contact page.

“Put yourself out there and ask for help if you need it. If you're not looking for support, grants, and other kinds of aid, you're not really in need. The local government was very helpful through all this too.” - Elias Montilla, La Gelatteria
